Last Day Boredom

Today is my last day with my current company (yippeeee!). Monday I start a new job that I hope will be much more inspiring than the one I've currently got. Aside from a meeting with my boss at 1:00, I have nothing to do today. I guess the good thing about being bored is that I have time to write this post!

I'm wondering if I should change my name from Chicago Spinster to Chicago Dater because I'm actually doing that right now. K is really great, and I'm enjoying spending time with him. I always like the fun part of getting to know about someone--his background, his hobbies, his beliefs, etc. Tonight he's coming over for dinner and a movie. I haven't cooked for someone in else in such a long time, so I'm going a little overboard. Here's tonight's menu:

Swordfish spiedini over soft polenta with roasted asparagus
Raspberry-topped amaretto tarts

I feel like I could open up my own restaurant!

Well, better get ready for the meeting with the boss. Hopefully I can bolt afterwards. There are so many other things I could be doing right now--like cleaning my condo so it doesn't look like a total dive.
