Everybody Does It

This weekend K. and I "passed" one of those awkward milestones that you just have to experience in order to become really comfortable with each other.

It was Saturday night, and we'd gone out to dinner and then to a bar with some friends to watch Game 1 of the World Series. We were back at my place snuggling on the couch, drinking water, and watching the end of Saturday Night Live when it happened.

I farted.

It was one of those completely unexpected, coming from out-of-nowhere farts that are just loud and (thankfully) don't have an odor associated with them. But, of course my face turned scarlet, and I sat up and squirmed uncomfortably.

"Excuse me," I said sheepishly.

"Hey, everybody does it," replied K.

"Yes, but I don't usually do it in front of other people."

And instead of saying anything back, he leaned over and kissed me. And that was that.

Phew!!!

P.S. I'm a huge Cubs fan, but for now I have to say, "GO WHITE SOX!"
