Summer vs. Winter Clothes
This weekend I decided to take on the semi-annual switching of the clothing (a.k.a. taking the winter items that have been stored under my bed and moving them to my closet and preparing the summer items for their long winter's nap). When I finished, the few dozen empty hangers in my closet made me realize that I have a lot more summer clothing than winter clothing. A whole lot more. I also realized I didn't like any of my winter clothing.
I think everyone has her favorite type of clothing, and mine is definitely summerwear. I just don't like having my entire body covered up with a turtleneck, long sleeves, tights, socks, and multiple layers. I love clothing, but I want to wear as little of it as possible.
Of course, this is rather unfortunate considering I live in a city where winter seems to last until the beginning of June. But at least the radiators in my condo keep it nice and toasty warm all winter, so I can run around in a tank top and shorts and ignore the below-zero blustery cold weather outside.
